The Fire Fixins kit contains jute string that has been infused with wax along with a piece of fatwood that is easily lit because of the high concentration of pine resin. The kit is made of all natural materials by a family business right here in the Midwest. Made in the Good Ole U.S.A. by folks with a history in Scouting. You gotta love that. You'll create a lot of fires with this kit using ferrocerium rods, matches, lighters or flint; anything that creates a spark.

So simple to use. Fluff it (fluff the jute string). Scrape it (scrape some fatwood on the string) and Spark it! Easy as 1, 2, 3!

There's no need to keep it in a waterproof case either. Fatwood is naturally water repellant and the waxed jute string is, too.
